Privacy Policy

Your data is yours. This page gives the rules every service of the house is built to, and what this website keeps about a visit today.

The rules we build to

  1. Where we stand

    We respect the privacy of every customer, on every service. These are the rules we build to.

  2. We do not take your data

    We take no data from you for purposes of our own. The one exception is what protects our infrastructure.

  3. Kept closed

    Our rule for anything we store is to hold it encrypted at rest, in a format of our own that only our engines read.

  4. No staff in your data

    No member of staff can open what you enter, upload or create. Our engines go through it only when a security procedure calls for it.

  5. The operator's sight

    The operator is able to see a customer's account. The rule is to look only when our own automated system flags it.

  6. Yours, for you

    What you upload, create or use on our services is there for you.

  7. What our tools convert

    Some of our tools change what you give them, for security. Once a tool has converted it, we dispose of what you gave.

  8. When you leave

    When you leave a service, we remove your data. We keep only what the law requires us to keep.

In your browser

This site sets no cookies and keeps nothing in your browser. It does not load anything from other companies.

On our server

For each request it answers, our web server writes one line to its log. The line holds:

  • the address the request came from;
  • the time;
  • the method, the page that was asked for without anything that follows a question mark, and the protocol version;
  • the status and the size of the answer, and the time it took;
  • the name your browser gives itself;
  • the name of the site.

When a request is refused or fails, the server also writes it to an error log, and that line can hold the full request as it was sent. Both logs are used to run and protect the server.

When you check a name on 365hosting.org, our server asks the registry of that name's ending whether it is registered. The registry sees the name and our server, and nothing of you. The name is not written to our access log.

When accounts open

Customers will give us more: who they are, how to reach them, and what they host. What is collected, why, and how to see it, correct it or have it removed will be set out on this page before the first account opens.
